June 19, 2025 12:00PM AAMP Juneteenth Celebration

Join AAMP as we continue the legacy of Juneteenth and celebrate our 49th anniversary as the first institution by a major city dedicated to the heritage of African Americans. In partnership with Wawa and Welcome America, AAMP will host an all-day, family-friendly outdoor festival with WDAS Patty Jackson as our mistress of ceremonies, along with a day-long lineup of entertainment, activations, games, and education for everyone to enjoy!

This year, we have an impressive lineup of talented artists. We are excited to announce Grammy Award-winning DJ and Philadelphia native, DJ Drama, as the first performer. Stay tuned for more exciting reveals as we rAAMP up to celebrate another incredible Juneteenth Block Party!

Starting at noon, stop by outside the museum where we’ll have a community marketplace featuring Black-owned businesses, community resources, giveaways, artmaking, food trucks, and line dancing with live entertainment, performances,  and special guests to be announced soon!
