First Friday! Spoken Hand Percussion Orchestra
Spoken Hand Percussion Orchestra, directed by Daryl Kwasi Burgee and Lenny Seidman, unifies the drumming traditions of bata from Cuba, tabla from North India, samba from Brazil, and djembe from West Africa to create a distinctly original and contemporary sound. From the sacred to the secular, linking the past to the present, Spoken Hand is a large, high energy ensemble known for its powerful performances of symphonically textured drumming and choral compositions and arrangements.
