VOLUMES is an immersive audio-visual installation by interdisciplinary artist/musician Ezra Masch that is activated by live drumming.

Social justice was at the forefront of the first Bad Hombre project released in 2017 because of the rhetoric Donald Trump had used about Mexicans for his candidacy run.
SHIFT presents a more hopeful side of the world while still touching on the fragility of our current social and political climate.

Sanchez has now adapted the term Bad Hombre as an alter ego in which allows him to experiment without any stylistic boundaries.

October 14, 2022 6:00-9:30PM Manos En La Obra: A Celebration of Latinx Artists

Manos En La Obra: A Celebration of Latinx Artists, will gather 200 people on the final day of Hispanic Heritage Month to celebrate and recognize outstanding Latinx artists who live or work along Philadelphia's Guagua 47 bus route, the city's Latino cultural corridor. 2022 Honorees Julia Lopez, Maribel Lozada, Michelle Angela Ortiz, Jose Antonio Ortiz Pagan, and Pedro (Pete) Ospina were chosen by the award selection committee for their talent and extensive, impactful work in community settings. These artists have distinguished themselves through their engagement of community members in creative dialogue in settings where they may not normally have opportunities to engage in the arts. The honorees' talent and work are extraordinary community assets that deserve wide attention, recognition, and visibility.

Muralist and "artivist" Cesar Viveros will receive The Chofer/The Driver Award for his creative vision and inclusive community-engaged leadership as the lead visual artist of La Guagua 47 film project. Cesar's creativity and capability transformed a 47 bus into a whimsical portal and gateway to Latinidad.

Finally, Jesse Bermudez, Philadelphia's visionary Latino cultural leader who founded the Asociacion de Musicos Latinoamericanos will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award. Jesse has left an indelible mark on our city's Latinx musicians and on the city's cultural scene with his decades of contributions and innovation.

This Celebration event will be held on Friday, October 14th at the beautiful Taller Puertorriqueno beginning at 6:00 PM. Attendees will enjoy a reception, awards, and a salsa dance party with the Ritmo Lab Band. Come celebrate our wonderful honorees and Philadelphia's Latinidad!
