Back To Black: A Philly Tribute To Amy Winehouse

Back to Black: A Philly Tribute to Amy Winehouse is excited to debut at Union Transfer for their 5th tribute since 2016. We will celebrate the brilliance of Amy Winehouse's seminal album, "Back to Black” as well as many songs off “Frank” and other B-sides.

If you missed us in June 2016 at World Cafe Live, November 2016 at Ardmore Music Hall, November 2017 at Underground Arts, August 2018 at Fillmore Silver Spring (MD), or you want to come together again, please check out this intimate performance with all of your favorite songs performed live by an 8-piece band (with 3-piece horn section!) and multiple lead and back-up vocalists. Expect the same energetic line-up, with bonus material! We will perform all of this material with great attention to detail, including rare Amy songs.

 Trinidelphia (Chris Aschman, Shawn Hennessey, and Ian Rafalak) is setting up a new home base at Copabanana's in West Philadelphia. Join us for our monthly appearance September 5th for a great little evening hang... get there before 7 to enjoy some 3 dollar beers/well drinks and 6 dollar nachos for happy hour. Admission is FREE. These performances will feature our special trio edition, with Shawn singing and playing on the cavement kit, Ian playing his unique chord bass style, and Chris on the big pan and little trumpet.

Join Ron Kravitz & Christine Hopkins,  for an afternoon of outdoor drumming on the beautiful grounds of The New Covenant Church Campus, 7500 Germantown Ave., across from the Trolley Car diner. This is an event for people who love to drum, love dancing to the rhythms of the drums or who just love to listen!

A small selection of drums, assorted percussion instruments, and some chairs will always be provided for public use.

This is a FREE FAMILY ORIENTED event. Picnic blankets for lounging a plus.

The 2018 season of Performances in Public Spaces in partnership with Scribe Video Center presents, Los Bomberos de la Calle. Los Bomberos De la Calle is a Puerto Rican Bomba and Plena music group based in North Philadelphia. 

Each summer, Scribe holds Street Movies!, a free outdoor performance, film screening and discussion series that takes place in diverse low-income neighborhoods throughout the Greater Philadelphia region and is produced in partnership with area community groups. 

From June through October, the Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy (OACCE) presents Performances in Public Spaces, a free series of family-friendly, cultural performances in parks and plazas throughout Philadelphia neighborhoods. The series is part of OACCE’s Arts in Action initiative that regularly brings quality arts programming to communities across Philadelphia and supports local, creative talent.
