Comprised of African and African American professional artists, singers, dancers, and folklorists, their work is inspired by Ira Bond and his experiences in Mali while growing up in Philadelphia. The name Malidelphia refers to the connection between Malian and Philadelphian cultural art forms such as jazz, blues, Afropop, hip-hop, and percussion. This project provides an opportunity for African and African American populations to communicate, find commonalities, and enjoy shared musical lineages.

De Tierra Caliente is a Latin fusion band whose catchy melodies and Latin, Caribbean, and Brazilian rhythms inspire an irresistible North/South American party. Founded in 2014, this flavorful band from Philly and Puerto Rico has released two full-length albums and played hundreds of shows throughout the U.S mainland Puerto Rico, Colombia, and Brazil. De Tierra Caliente delivers the sabor and spice and alegria of warm-weather countries to American audiences, where formidable winters and nose-to-the-grindstone work ethic sometimes overshadow simple pleasures like sharing a meal with friends or going out dancing.
