Performances in Public Spaces
This series encourages and inspires community connectivity in and with the city's neighborhoods by providing access to FREE quality arts and cultural experiences that highlight the city's outdoors spaces. The City's Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy (OACCE) invites Philadelphia-based artists from all performing art disciplines to submit proposals for 2020 performances in parks and plazas throughout the city, between May and October 2020. Past performances have included concerts, theatrical productions, circus arts, film screenings, dance, and more. For this opportunity, artists are responsible for ALL aspects of planning, production, and promotion. Grants range from $250-$2,500 for one or a series of performances in one of the participating parks listed in the program guidelines.
