September 10, 2021 8:00 - 11:00PM Tracks at the Vale presents: El Caribefunk and Ryan Tennis Band

Latin grammy-nominated Colombian group, El Caribefunk, returns to Philly for a show with Ryan Tennis and his band at "Tracks at The Vale."

About this event

The Caribefunk boys are back! Join us and them for a beautiful evening of music on Friday, Sept 10th at the Vale, a pluricultural hideaway in Mt. Airy, Philadelphia!

------Doors 7pm, Music 8pm-------

What can I say, if I was allowed to see one show before I died, it would be El Caribefunk! From their bio...El Caribefunk is a group from Cartagena, Colombia that combines elements of different Caribbean musical traditions and mixes them with American funk. They have recorded 4 albums -the last of which, "Energia Para Regalar," was the only album from a fully independent band to be nominated for a Latin Grammy Award, as best tropical fusion album in 2020. Over the last 9 years they have toured almost non-stop (with just a SLIGHT pause in 2020) with shows in over 150 cities and 23 countries. Come feel the undeniable rhythm and positive energy of El Caribefunk!

Ryan Tennis and his band will perform first. "Ryan Tennis hails from Philadelphia--America's City of Brotherly Love, which makes sense, because his music is all about lifting barriers and bringing people together. Genre-defying by nature and diverse at its core, his rousing songs are infused with rhythms from the many countries he’s visited during extensive touring. While his performances are dynamic and danceable, Tennis’ voice and songs have a disarming sweetness that helps you drop your defenses, breathe easy and join in the fun."

Drinks and light snacks will be provided, and we’ll be asking for a $20-25 suggested donation at the door (facebook for some reason is making it so that every event must be listed as "free,"). Space will be limited, so if you’re interested in reserving a spot, DM me here and Venmo payment to @ryantennismusic . If you're having trouble coming up with the donation, DM me and we can work that out!

Doors 7pm, Music 8pm.
