For 125 years, Fleisher has provided accessible arts education and programming for generations of Philadelphians regardless of economic means, background, or artistic experience. For over a decade, we have produced public festivals and events for joyful artmaking that Philadelphia has come to know and love such as ARTspiration! and Día de los Muertos Community Celebration; the latter has now provided the blueprint for the Annual Indonesian Festival. Entering its 11th year, on October 28th the Día de los Muertos Community Celebration culminates a month-long series of art-making workshops, performances, artists talks, and cultural exchange with a 1-mile public procession, music, food, and a community altar vigil.
The Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy is proud to support this free event through the Neighborhood Arts Programs.
