Founded in 1969 by the late Baba Robert “Ibikunle” Crowder, Kùlú Mèlé is the oldest continually-performing African dance and drum ensemble in the nation.
Kùlú Mèlé attracts diverse audiences of all ages, and is about educating the public and passing African Diaspora culture to the next generation. Several students from Omo Kulu Mele @omo_kulumele , the CHILDREN ENSEMBLE, ARE ALSO PART OF THE SHOW.
