Enjoy an evening of art, live music, film, cocktails, and light fare at our monthly First Friday mixer. This month’s event is presented in partnership with the Philadelphia Latino Arts & Film Festival (PHLAFF), which celebrates the extraordinary work of emerging and established Latine/x/a/o filmmakers, musicians, and artists. The program features music by Yasser Tejeda as well as short films from this year’s festival and includes access to our second-floor collection galleries.
Yasser Tejeda is an award-winning Dominican composer, guitarist, vocalist, and producer. Tonight he will perform music from his latest album, La Madrugá—Afro-Caribbean compositions that fuse traditional styles with merengue, jazz, and rock. Later in the evening, DJ Bobby Flowers will play a set on the West Terrace.
