This month, the Barnes welcomes Ñuuxakun for "Art and Freedom / Arte y Libertad." Led by Andrea GarcÃa Espinal, this Philadelphia community dance group preserves and shares Mexico’s rich folkloric traditions through dance, music, history, and traditional costumes. During performances at 1 and 2:30pm, experience dances representing regions including Sinaloa, Aguascalientes, and Veracruz.
Families can also enjoy interactive storytimes with Ana Atach of Canticuentos, hands-on art activities, scavenger hunt challenges, and free access to the Barnes collection and "Just Us," our annual restorative justice exhibition.
