Mariposas Galacticas is an 8-piece Cumbia Klezmer Punk band based in Philly. Combining band members’ South American and Jewish ancestries, the band creates a unique diasporic sound that gets audiences everywhere dancing with rebellious joy. By honoring their Indigenous Andean musical heritage, blended together with punkified ancient Jewish melodies, the band plays a mixture of original and classic tunes that span different languages, cultures, and genres.
Yeison Landero is on tour from Colombia, and is a leading exponent of *cumbia sabanera*, the vibrant accordion-driven sound born in the Colombian Caribbean. Known as “the heir to cumbia,” he carries on the legacy of his grandfather—the legendary Andrés Landero, acclaimed across Latin America as “the king of cumbia.” Hailing from San Jacinto in the Montes de María region, Landero brings the tradition into the present with an energetic, contemporary style that keeps the genre’s essence alive while connecting with new audiences worldwide. Backed by a powerful band, his concerts are a celebration of rhythm, identity, and Caribbean joy.
