March 1, 2015 7:30 PM Feeldel Band Brings Ethiopian Jazz and Funk to Calvary Church

At Calvary Church, 801 South 48th Street, Philadelphia at 7:30 pm. $10-30
Free children's program from 6:00-6:40 pm. Children’s programs begin at 6:00, last 30-40 minutes, and are free to children under 12 and their parents or other caregivers. Unless otherwise noted, all take place at Calvary Center for Culture and Community. Seating is first come, first served. Please, no unaccompanied children.

The first all-Ethiopian-born group in North America, the Feedel Band was founded by keyboardist Araya Woldemichael and features Moges Habte on sax, Alemseged Kebede on electric bass, and five more leading musicians based in the Washington DC area. The band's music ranges from classic Ethiopian jazz and funk, to Ethiopian traditional music, to more contemporary pieces.
