Beats, Brews, & Banter is a free event that gives local drummers, musicians, and wannabes a chance to network, share ideas, and learn from some of the best drummers in the area.
Our guest this time is drummer, band-mate, and Maracatu/Pandeiro percussion teacher, Scott Kettner. Scott Kettner will share his approach to performing, improvising and composing new music and grooves using a Boss RC-30 Loop Station. This interactive workshop/performance, "The Art of Looping Percussion for Live Performances", will also explore topics tailored to drummers and percussionists of all levels.
Philly Drum Project is a Percussive Collective, founded in 2011, dedicated to making drumming more accessible in the Philadelphia area by helping those in our region share lessons, beats, and gear in an environment where community, creativity, education, and diversity are valued.
Beats, Brews, & Banter is a periodic free event that has featured such drummers as Eric Slick (Dr. Dog), Spanky McCurdy (Jill Scott, Lady Gaga), David Uosikkinen (The Hooters), Charlie Hall (War on Drugs), and Fred Berman (Amos Lee).
