August 2, 2019 6:00-9:00PM Steve Weiss Mallet Festival at The Barnes Foundation


Join us for an exciting evening of classical, jazz, and African music performed on mallet instruments—think xylophones, vibraphones, marimbas, and more. See top mallet players from around the world, including balafon artist Richard Robinson, vibraphonists David Friedman and Tony Miceli, and marimba players Leigh Howard Stevens, Phil O’Banion, and Andrea Venet.
This performance is part of the Steve Weiss Mallet Festival.
Includes access to the collection and Bill Viola exhibition, as well as a screening of I Do Not Know What It Is I Am Like (dir. Bill Viola, 1986, 89 min.) at 6pm in the Comcast NBCUniversal Auditorium.

Cocktails and light fare available for purchase, including crab cakes, cheesesteak egg rolls, and a fruit and cheese plate.
