Joy Ike

Polished and precise, yet buoyed with an airy grace, Joy Ike paints with a broad palette that defies easy categorization. Born to Nigerian immigrants, the singer/songwriter’s music, voice, and writing have drawn comparisons to female musicians such as Nina Simone, Laura Nyro, and Regina Spektor. But her percussive piano-playing and soaring vocals give homage to her African upbringing.

ZRNA

ZRNA is a new project formed around the core of Gregg Mervine's percussion and sampler, Brendan Cooney's synthesizers, and Isabella Sazak's vocals. Turkish and Balkan rhythms are a huge inspiration for the group (those lilting rhythms that get bodies moving in unfamiliar ways). The tribalistic trance feelings achieved by house and downtempo artists are also a huge inspiration. Seeking to heal, seeking visions over new horizons, seeking a place where love and rage fuse and unlock a solution.
