Philly Drum Project presents our first "Beats, Brews, & Banter" of the year with Matt Scarano!

Monday, February 3rd
7:00pm – 9:00pm (with The Fire's Monday Open Mic following)
The Fire - 412 W Girard Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19123
Free | 21+ to drink

Beats, Brews, & Banter is a free event that gives local drummers of all skill levels, musicians, and rhythm enthusiasts a chance to network, share ideas, and learn from some of the best drummers in the area.

Join us at The Fire for two hours of drummer (and percussionist) fellowship, including updates on our organization and a clinic on odd-meter playing by one of Philly's most in demand and versatile drummers, Matt Scarano. The Fire's Monday night open mic will follow starting at 9PM, so feel free to stick around and hang, sign up to perform (bring a band, a backing track, or just play some drums), and enjoy the rest of the evening.

"Matt Scarano is one of the most versatile drummers I've ever met. His mastery of odd-time meters, combined with his sense of swing, and ability to deliver far-reaching musical narratives have made him a preeminent performer and educator."- Voice = Power Podcast

Philly Drum Project is a Percussive Collective, founded in 2011, dedicated to making drumming more accessible in the Philadelphia area by helping those in our region share lessons, beats, and gear in an environment where community, creativity, education, and diversity are valued.

Beats, Brews, & Banter is a periodic free event that has featured such drummers as Eric Slick (Dr. Dog), Spanky McCurdy (Jill Scott, Lady Gaga), David Uosikkinen (The Hooters), Charlie Hall (War on Drugs), and Fred Berman (Amos Lee).
