Please join us for a beautiful evening of music and fun at the Vale!
Headlining will be world-renowned Cameroonian bass player/vocalist, Francis Mbappe, and his fantastic band. Mbappe has performed with Herbie Hancock, played with Fela Kuti at his compound in Nigeria, and was Manu Dibango’s music director for 8 years. His sound blends various West African music traditions with R&B, Funk, and Jazz. Bring your dancing shoes!
Our second featured act is the stunning vocalist, justmadnice. “justmadnice is a multidisciplinary artist based in Philly. Self-defined cosmic creature, music is their connection to spirit. An outpouring of love, pleasure, and pain, they sing themselves alive. They sing themselves free.”
Ryan Tennis and some of the usual cast of characters will kick things off!
Drinks and light snacks will be provided, and we’ll be asking for a $10-20 suggested donation at the door (facebook for some reason is making it so that every event must be listed as "free,"). Space will be limited, so if you’re interested in reserving a spot, DM me here and Venmo $20 to @ryantennismusic . If you're having trouble coming up with the $10-20 donation, DM me and we can work that out!
Doors 7pm, Music 7:30pm.
