July 7, 2023 6:00-9:00PM First Friday at The Barnes: Solomon Temple

Enjoy an evening of art, live music, cocktails, and light fare at our monthly First Friday mixer. Tonight’s program features two sets by Philly singer-songwriter Solomon Temple. Temple’s distinctive sound blends gospel, jazz, and soul, and draws inspiration from icons like Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin, and Nina Simone. Temple has collaborated with area talents including Omar’s Hat and Ursula Rucker and founded Songs for the Soul, a performance series created to heal, uplift, and edify through music, art, and culture.

Come out and enjoy this incredible evening of art, music, and community at the Barnes!

Live music sets: 6:30 & 7:45pm

First Friday at the Barnes includes access to the collection galleries and William Edmondson: A Monumental Vision.
