Storyville: You Don't Have To Go Home, But... by Aidan Un Friday, April 10, 2026 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM Cost: $5, $3 for Scribe Members You Don’t Have To Go Home, But . . . is an ode to dancing bodies, a grimy love letter to Philly, a story about what to do when the DJ has played the last song, the club’s lights come on, and you gotta go . . . somewhere. Following dancers at different stages of their artistic lives, with legendary party Second Sundae as backdrop, this film examines the possibility of spiritual fulfillment in a socioeconomic configuration that ultimately doesn’t value the practices that make us free. To be preceded by "Hip Hop Life" (USA, 2025, 9 min) by Bernard Cross, Grant Cusaac, Ramon Gilmore Jr., Amina Frink, and Braeden Cross of Scribe's Documentary for History Project for Youth. Aidan Un is a French-Korean filmmaker based in Philadelphia for the past 17 years. When he’s not making films, you can catch him at a Capoeira roda or drumming with Korean Percussion Ensemble 우리얼 (URIOL). |
