Féria de Sevilla in Philadelphia!!! Hope you will join dance with us as we bring spring into our lives! Sevillanas is a type of folk music/dance derived from old Castilian Seguidilla. Sevillanas are danced by couples and the rhythm is 3/4 or 6/8 and composed of 4 sections/coplas! The Féria de Sevilla starts 2 weeks after semana Santa in a huge fairground in Los Remedios! A week of serious dancing, eating and drinking! Sevillanos parade around the fairgrounds in carriages or horseback in traditional costumes!! Dance with us and help us celebrate spring!!!
