Founded in 2008 by several local business owners, 2nd St Festival has grown into one of the largest annual street festivals in Philadelphia, spanning several blocks in Northern Liberties and drawing thousands of people! Always the first Sunday in August, the neighborhood and comes alive with food, libations and entertainment!
The first Sunday in August is Northern Liberties’ time to shine. Since 2008, the free annual 2nd Street Festival brings thousands of revelers to the corridor of the River Wards neighborhood.
Expect a Philly-centric lineup of live bands on stages (typically at Germantown Avenue and at Fairmount Avenue), art and apparel merchants and vendors, multiple beer and cocktail gardens featuring selections from local craft breweries and distilleries and the finest food fare NoLibs (and beyond) has to offer.
