Saturday, February 9, we present Raíces Musical Tour, a free monthly program dedicated to exploring the incredible diversity of Latin American and Caribbean culture through music. Hosted by Raíces ' Co-Founder, Michael Esposito, this interactive program will show guests how music in addition to dance can be used to empower people to claim and promote their cultural identities.
The first Musical Tour of 2013 will focus on music styles of Mexico, including styles such as ballads/corridos, mariachi music and more. With the use of videos, cds, maps, and other materials, attendees will experience traveling through Mexico's many distinct regions via music.
