Summer 2013 Philly Drum Project hosts "DrumPhil" workshop

On August 13th, 2013, Philly Drum Project will hold its first educational program, DrumPhil: a one-day drumset workshop for high school students. We are partnering with The University of the Arts to offer this program in the heart of The Avenue of the Arts in Center City Philadelphia. Through an application process, we will select 12 high school students, who will have a unique opportunity to study with top university instructors and professional drummers in the city during a day filled with group workshops, individual lessons, a panel discussion on the music business, and drumset ensemble composition sessions, culminating with a recital for family, friends and the Philly Drum Project community. We don't want to turn any student away because of his/her financial situation, so in order to keep the program fee at $20 per student, we are asking you, our members, for support.

This program is a new challenge for PDP, and we're looking to you to help make this possible. We need to raise $3,535 by July 1 in order for DrumPhill to be a success. Ticket sales from our One-Year Anniversary Event will help subsidize the costs, but a large portion of the budget will come from individual members like you. Thanks to a gift from MCD Percussion and several of your fellow PDP members, we are starting off this campaign with $770!Please click the image below to give!
