June 14, 2013 7:30 PM Jazz Bridge 9th Annual Benefit Concert - An Evening of Latin Jazz

Jazz Bridge 9th Annual Benefit for Our Musicians

We hope you will come to our annual jazz benefit for musicians and join pianist Elio Villafranca, bassist Mike Boone, and percussionist Arturo Stable for an evening of Latin jazz at Chris’ Jazz Cafe on Friday June 14th to raise money for our local jazz and blues musicians in crisis.

The fun starts with the Brazilian sounds of Minas from 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm, and then we’ll all enjoy Elio Villafranca from 8:00-11:30 pm, an artist at the forefront of the latest generation of remarkable Cuban pianists, composers and bandleaders that for several years has been making major creative contributions to the international development of modern jazz. In the 2010 Grammy Awards he was nominated in Best Latin Jazz Album of the Year, for his performance, composition and coproduction in the album Things I Wanted To Do. The Mike Boone Trio performs from 11:30 to 2:00 am.

Terrific door prizes and a silent auction too! Tickets are $25 and all purchased tickets will be held at Will Call (none will be shipped)
