June 15, 2013 4:00-8:00 PM Norris Square Neighborhood Project's "Festival de Bambulaé" at 2240 N. 2nd Street, Philadelphia
On Saturday, June 15 Norris Square Neighborhood Project will hold its annual festival de bambulaé, As in previous years, the gardens will be colorfully infused with Puerto Rican flavors, sounds, and celebration! We will be roasting a pig (still with veggie options!) and will host bomba dancing, along with other live entertainment.
The Honorary Committee includes Varsovia Fernandez, President and CEO, Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Cynthia Figueroa, President and CEO, Congreso; Mayor Michael Nutter; Councilwoman Maria Quiñones-Sánchez; Lacy Serros, Northeast Program Manager, Hispanics in Philanthropy and Mary Rivera, Executive Director, Raíces Culturales Latinoamericanos.
