June 6, 2014 7:30-9:00 PM "Meet Us at the Corner: The Tap/Ballet Project" at Caplan Recital Hall

After a three-month residency in Philadelphia, Dorothy Wasserman (TAP, The Movie), and Elisabeth Holowchuk (Suzanne Farrell Ballet), will unveil their restaging of "Meet Us At the Corner," a collaborative work for six tap dancers and four ballet dancers, on June 6, 2014, 7:30 pm, at Caplan Recital Hall, 211 South Broad Street, 17th Floor, Philadelphia, PA. The show will also include a performance of Wasserman’s “#holdontoyourhats," as well as "Shim Sham Variations," her signature work. Rounding out the bill are two repertory works by Take It Away Dance, and the jazz quartet of Patrick Fink (piano), Jonathan Katz (saxophone), Nicholas Krolak (bass), Claudio de Pujadas (drums) will accompany the show, throughout the evening. "Meet Us at The Corner” is partially funded by Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and Barish Rosenthal LLC. Additional project support provided by Lisa Collins Vidnovic and Metropolitan Ballet Academy. Presented by Pamela Hetherington, director of Take It Away Dance Productions.

General admission tickets are $20, and students/seniors/Dance Pass holders can purchase discounted tickets for $12.
