Beats, Brews, & Banter is a free monthly event that gives local drummers, musicians, and wannabes a chance to network, share ideas, and learn from some of the best drummers in the area. Twice a year we host an OpenDrum event, where we get to hear from you, the members!
This June event is extra-awesome cause we'll have TWO DRUM SETS ready to go for you; one acoustic, and one electronic kit!
The night will consist of several 10-minute drum-centered presentations by musicians of all backgrounds and experience levels. ANYONE can play! Get there early to sign up for an open slot or just come for the brews and fun hangs! Feel free to partner up for a cool drum set duet, or teach us that cool groove you're working on!
Philly Drum Project is a Percussive Collective, founded in 2011, dedicated to making drumming more accessible in the Philadelphia area by helping those in our region share lessons, beats, and gear in an environment where community, creativity, education, and diversity are valued. Beats, Brews, & Banter is held every month and has featured such drummers as Eric Slick (Dr. Dog), Spanky McCurdy (Jill Scott, Lady Gaga), David Uosikkinen (The Hooters), and Fred Berman (Amos Lee).
