INTRODUCTION TO SON
Son is a traditional style of Cuban music and dance that has roots in Spanish music and African rhythms, which came together to produce a distinctive style that is both elegant and dynamic. Son became popular in the early 20th century, and subsequently went on to influence the development of casino, salsa, and many other musical and dance styles.

CASINO
If you've ever wondered how to apply what you've learned in our rueda de casino classes to social dancing, this is your chance. Casino, sometimes called "Cuban salsa," is a fun and dynamic style of partner dance that is done in Cuba, the US, and worldwide. In the class, we will focus on clean footwork and concepts for good leading and following, as well as building complicated sequences from fundamental patterns.

There will be both a beginner's class and an intermediate/advanced class, so there is something for everyone!
