5:30 p.m. In-Gallery Performance: Three Aksha Dance Company
This dance troupe preserves and promotes Bharatanatyam, a traditional Indian dance form. Tonight they perform "Saha," an ensemble of moves dedicated to different deities.
5:45 & 6:30 p.m. Detours with Amy Smith
Journey through the medieval galleries with Amy Smith, co-founder of Headlong Dance Theater. Additional creative input from theater artist Adriano Shaplin.
6:00 & 7:00 p.m. In-Gallery Performance: Almanac Dance Circus Theatre
This acrobatic performance ensemble responds to Wild: Michael Nichols through storytelling and daring physicality.
7:30 p.m. Music: PhillyBloco
Modeled after the block parties of Brazilian carnival, PhillyBloco will perform a raucous mash-up of samba, funk, and New Orleans second line.
