5:45-6:00 Batala Philadelphia Brazilian Percussion Ensemble

5:45 & 6:30 p.m. Detour: Anna Crusis Women's Choir
The country’s first feminist women’s choir raise their voices for peace and justice on this tour through the American galleries.

In-Gallery Workshop: Caldera Magazine
This local publication celebrates creatives of color and artists from Queer communities. Contributors Samya Abu-Orf and Wit Lopez share their stories in two poetic performances and lead a participatory writing and movement workshop that will leave you feeling empowered.

5:00–8:00 p.m. In-Gallery Performances: Beth Heinly
A series of short movement-based works that evoke various styles of street performance. Locations vary.

5:45, 6:30 & 7:00 p.m. In-Gallery Performances: Drum Like A Lady
Three pop-up performances from this local troupe led by women and governed by percussion. Locations vary.

6:15 p.m. In-Gallery Performance: “stop on the object/move on the image”
Filmmaker Marie Hinson, choreographer Meg Foley, and poets Laura Neuman and Sekai’afua Zankel have been putting together a site-specific, multi-sensory performance. Come see what they’ve created so far.
6:30-6:45p.m. Batala Philadelphia Brazilian Percussion Ensemble

7:00-7:10p.m.  Drum Like a Lady Jam Session

7:15 p.m. Main Act: Ladama
This multi-national ensemble of women combines traditional roots music with pop, communicating across cultures using sound and story.
