Please join us for our first “Tracks at the Vale” Concert of the year!
Doors at 7:00, Music at 8:00pm, done by 11:00.
Headlining for the second time (after a KILLER show last year) will be world-renowned Cameroonian bass player/vocalist, Francis Mbape, and his fantastic band. Mbape has performed with Herbie Hancock, played with Fela Kuti at his compound in Nigeria, and was Manu Dibango’s music director for 8 years. His sound blends various West African music traditions with R&B, Funk, and Jazz. Bring your dancing shoes!
Opening the show will be guitarist Raji Malik, a friend and neighbor whose percussive instrumental guitar pieces carry the influences of his background in both Indian and Rock music. Raji has such a genuine, sweet energy that I felt from the first time I met him, and I’m so glad to have him grace our stage.
I (Ryan Tennis) will perform a solo set of Folk/Soul/Caribbean music, hot off my 7 week album-release tour in Europe!
Drinks and light snacks will be provided, and we’ll be asking for a $15-25 suggested donation at the door. To reserve a space, send payment via Venmo to @ryantennismusic or PayPal (friends and family method) to ryantennismusic@gmail.com.
If you’re feeling good with money, give more, and if money is tight, give less. If you’re having trouble coming up with the $15, message me at least 24 hours before the event and we can work something out.
***PARKING: PLEASE PARK ON CRESHEIM ST., which is just a block from my house, and not on Sedgwick St.***
