For the first time in the Philadelphia community, we're having percussionist @dendemacedo present Samba Dendê with Samba Junino, which is a rhythm played in the celebrations of the São João’s/Saint John's Party in the north and northeast of Brazil. This is a popular festive event and a major component of regional popular culture among Brazilians but it’s open to everyone. You're welcome to bring drinks, snacks and food.
