Join us for a day of Lucumi orisha songs and AfroCuban bata drumming. The music is an essential part of the Lucumi religion, originating in Southwest Nigeria and then brought to Cuba by enslaved Africans. Singing, drumming, and dancing are all part of the religious ceremonies.
In this performance, Kehinda Graham will demonstrate what he has learned during his year-long apprenticeship with master artist, Kenneth "Skip" Burney.
