We're thrilled to share our PHonk!Philly programming with the Hawthorne Cultural Center and neighborhood starting September 11 we'll offer FREE youth and adult community-based music and dance programming with funding from our 2023 Liberated Paths, @we_are_justice_outside grant.
We're offering youth programming through our " A Parade in a Day" cultural project teaching Philadelphia youth about parade culture traditions, music, and pageantry/regalia in Brazil and New Orleans.
And, for my faithful Sambistas who have sweated with me indoors and outdoors over the past 3 months. Samba is back starting September 11, Mondays 6:30-7:30pm

I also want to take a moment to highlight the tremendous work the staff and educators at Hawthorne Cultural Center who are just as dedicated to sharing free arts, music and culture with Philadelphia youth, families and Elders.
