Philly Tango lab will be back this Sunday (13th) at the Philadelphia Ethical Society, and my dear friend, the bandoneonist Shinjoo Cho will join us this time. Event starts at 3pm with a tango ensemble workshop for musicians. If you want to attend, hit me up on my social media or email and I can send you scores to work on. At 5.30, a concert with Shinjoo, the ensemble and friends that will come to join, where you can join as audience or on the dance floor. General admission is $30, there's paid parking around the area.

Bandoneonist, composer and band leader, Shinjoo has been the main reference in Philly's musical tango scene for many years, prior to her moving to Lyon, France. We are very thrilled to have her joining the ensemble and playing for us her newest material!

Philly Tango Lab is a small group of volunteers that aims to create events in which tango dancers, musicians and general audience can experience the full extent of tango culture, as it is still alive in Buenos Aires, not only on Milongas (tango dances), but in small cafes in which singers connect with a devout audience, in the long rehearsals of the "Orquestas Típicas" (the tango Big Bands), in the connection between the musicians, dancers and audience, and, most of all, like it's enjoyed among friends in a party.
