Cumbia with a Mexican Jarocho flavor, Guachinangos features members from diverse cultural backgrounds. The band fuses Mexican son jarocho with Colombian cumbia and other Latin American rhythms.
From the vibrant music scene of New York City, the Latin alternative band DeRaiz has been captivating audiences for over 10 years with their fusion of traditional Latin rhythms and modern indie rock. Formed in 2013, the band blends elements of cumbia, salsa, and champeta with influences from rock, funk, and hip-hop.

Metamorfo was born dancing in the rhythmic diversity of Queens, New York City, and it shows in his musical selections, from Old School Salsa, to Cumbia, Breakbeats and beyond.

We’ll also be featuring a hands-on art session where you can participate in silk screening and live banner painting with our compas from Juntos, a community-led, Latine immigrant organization in South Philadelphia fighting for our human rights as workers, parents, youth, and immigrants.
With all that we’re up against, gathering together to chismear, to celebrate, and to stand strong is essential. We’re ready to get real about what’s ahead in November, highlight the organizing power we’re building at the local level, and have a good time while we’re at it.
