A'cassDanceWorks presents....
SAMBAdelphia - a series of workshops and samba dance classes taught by Angelica Cassimiro. This first series is geared towards training and technique of Samba Dancing, with its quick and intricate footwork patterns.
There will be 6 workshop style classes in this series with an informal studio showing following our last workshop on June 28th open for family and friends.
****about the workshops:
You will be given a thorough warm-up with an emphasis on alignment that will stretch and strengthen your body. Then you will be introduced to the samba basics focusing in rhythm and proper footwork. The workshop will then lead to various movements within Samba that travel across the floor. This workshop series will progress where Angelica will teach choreographies each week that lead into the next. We will end with a optional (you choose to participate) in studio showing on June 28th where we will show off all the movements we worked on to our family and friends- and most importantly just have a good time together. Afterall its SAMBA.!
****Participation for entire duration of workshop is strongly encouraged****
Sunday April 26th- 5:30-6:45, Saturday May 9th 5:30-6:45pm, Sunday May 17th 4:30-5:45pm, Sunday May 31st 1:30-2:45pm, Sunday June 14th 4:30-5:45pm and Sunday June 28th 4:30-5:45pm.
***All Workshop classes will take place in Studio B- (studio to the left once you enter the Performance Garage 1515 Brandywine Street, Philadelphia PA)
