Camden NJ: On June 14, 2015 The Urban Guerilla Orchestra will perform at Trinity Live Entertainment 79 Newton Avenue Camden, NJ. Showtime is at 6:00 PM.
Jersey Style Films LLC in Association with Anybody Wanna Dance, will be shooting a concert film entitled “6-14: Anybody Wanna Dance, a FunkUmentary".
This is an up close and personal look at the formula behind Philadelphia’s most impassioned and underrated Funk and R&B band of the 21st Century.
The Story
This FunkUmentary (Documentary) tells the true story of a group of musicians from Philadelphia coming together to create a sound that is only augmented by pain and frustration. “The Urban Guerilla Orchestra,” (UGO) is renowned for its rhythmic, danceable beats and syncopated groove sounds of melody and harmony mixed together. This formula varied with personal pain, struggle and heartache, is synonymous to some of the most legendary artists that topped the “Billboard charts. “6-14: Anybody Wanna Dance, the FunkUmentary, will give you a bird's eye view of the inter-workings of a funk band and how the mechanisms, personalities and experiences collide in a formula that will make your blood pressure boil like a “Spiritual Awakening.”
UGO does this with the best musical line up in Philadelphia history, featuring musicians who performed with Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Boyz II Men, Alicia Keys, The Roots and countless others.
