The Pablo Batista Latin Jazz Ensemble is a six-piece ensemble which covers both straight ahead and Latin Jazz. The music plays heavily on Afro-Caribbean folklore and world rhythms as well as the clave. The audience will have the pleasure of hearing an ensemble of musicians that are diverse and versatile in several genres. They will incorporate the elements of Jazz; the walking base, improvised solos, or the swing. This performance brings forth the authenticity of Latin Jazz and the emphasis with the clave along with the many rhythms that accompany the clave. Batista’s ensemble will combine 30 years of perfecting both styles of music and combining them to create the fusion of what is known as Latin Jazz.

The ensemble lineup is: Dennis Guevara(Keyboards), Chico Huff(Bass), Kyrie Shaheed Muhammad(Drums), Tal Shtuhl(Sax & Flute), Nick Lombardelli(trombone), and Pablo Batista (percussion).
