May 7, 2015 7:30 PM Live Connections presents Jason Vieaux & the Al-Bustan Takht Ensemble at World Cafe Live PHL

Original artists, original music. LiveConnections brings you unique collaborations and fresh sounds from some of the best artists today, in the intimate atmosphere of our partner venue World Cafe Live.
The final concert of LiveConnections’ 2014-2015 series bridges Western classical and traditional Arab music, with a world premiere by local composer Kinan Abou-afach. Featuring acclaimed classical guitar virtuoso and 2015 Grammy-winner Jason Vieaux and the Takht Ensemble from Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture (with Hanna Khoury, violin; Hafez Kotain, percussion; Kinan Abou-afach, cello; Kinan Idwani, oud; and Hicham Chami, qanun), the concert blends exceptional artistry and innovative new music to cross cultural and musical boundaries.
Catch the energy and innovation in the dynamic Downstairs Live venue at World Cafe Live, Philadelphia, while enjoying dinner and drinks. Doors open at 6:30pm for dinner; the show starts at 7:30pm.
