This performance ties in with the only US showing of Paint the Revolution: Mexican Modernism, 1910-1950 will include more than 200 pieces from the Museo del Palacio de Bellas Arts in Mexico City and Philadelphia Museum of Art’s own collection. Works by Diego Rivera, José Clemente Orozco, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Frida Kahlo, María Izquierdo, Roberto Montenegro, Carlos Mérida, Manuel Álvarez Bravo and many others offer artistic insights into the the social forces that reshaped Mexico.
