We're participating in #GivingTuesday to relaunch our Re-Drum Rhythm Sessions - free community center group drum lessons! In 2015, you helped us fund the pilot program of Re-Drum Rhythm Sessions, to refurbish 2 unwanted drumsets and provide them to the community for weekly group drum lessons for the community. Students learn about the role of the drumset in rock, jazz, reggae, and hip hop, and have had a safe community to get involved with after school once a week. The class also focuses on peer mentorship, as older, more experienced players help the younger players. It's an important program to make sure that everyone in Philly has access to quality musical education and instruments.
We need to raise $2000 in just one day! We need YOU to join a #team and give just $10 to help support Rhythm Sessions by running another program in North Philly AND add a second location in West Philly!
