It’s the first Sunday of the month, which means free admission at the Barnes! Visitors have access to the collection and all our family activities and entertainment.
Celebrate fall’s arrival with art and music! Try your hand at family-friendly creative projects with the Center for Architecture and Design, and feel the beat with percussion performances curated by the Philadelphia women’s drumming collective Drum Like a Lady.

Drum Like A Lady is coming to The Barnes Foundation for PECO First Sunday, on October 7th, featuring LIVE music performances and workshops by over 50 female percussionists.

Outdoor entertainment features DJs King Britt and Rich Medina plus Drum Like a Lady honors the original DLAL DJ/drum cypHER with an all-star jam and dance party. Don’t miss an augmented reality mural experience inside the Barnes, a first-ever for our partner Mural Arts Philadelphia.

Drum Like a Lady is a community cooperative, led by LaTreice V Branson, whose mission is to provide a safe space for women of all ages, ethnic backgrounds, religious beliefs, and lifestyles to express their uniqueness through collective drumming, dance, music education, and health advocacy.
