Jam-All Productions, led by renowned Jazz bassist Jamaaladeen Tacuma, presents the fifth annual Outsiders Improvised & Creative Music Festival. This year's 5-event festival continues its mission of showcasing diverse styles of risk-taking, progressive music and groundbreaking artists in April for Philadelphia’s Jazz Appreciation Month.

Few musicians leave their audiences with a feeling that they have truly witnessed something amazing. Artist/ producer/ performer/ innovator and bassist Jamaaladeen Tacuma does just that. This native Philadelphian has always stretched the old mold of what and how a bassist is supposed to play.

Tacuma will be joined by  Ronnie Burrage on drums, Sumi Tonooka on piano, Braxton Bateman on trumpet, Tarus Mateen on bass.

This year's festival theme is "invasion of the outsiders," celebrating the contributions of mavericks, interlopers, refugees, and strangers to the culture of music. The 2019 Outsiders fest begins on Saturday April 13 at South Jazz Parlor.

Admission is $25 and tickets are available online.
