"A celebration of Latino culture in the heart of the city’s streets. Traditional Latino music, poetry, and dance make this vibrant festival a must see event. Held on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the Puerto Rican Festival Parade typically has around 1,500 marchers; more than 5,000 attendees; and 96,000 tune in to watch live on 6abc Action News.
THEME: “The Taino Warrior Within/El Guerrero Taíno Dentro”. The history of Taino Indians has spanned over hundreds of years, and many Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, and Jamaicans can trace their roots back to Taino Indians. This year Concilio celebrates The Taino Warrior Within/El Guerrero Taino Dentro, to celebrate a theme of strength and perseverance within our diverse Latino community!"
