DrumPhil is a unique opportunity for students to study with some of the best drummers and educators in Philadelphia and connect with other students from the community. Students will spend the day at the facilities of the prestigious University of the Arts, located in the heart of the Avenue of the Arts in center city Philadelphia. Sessions throughout the day will include group workshops, individual instruction, and collaborative composition. At the end of the day, students will perform for family, friends, and the Philadelphia community.
Last year, DrumPhil provided an amazing, affordable opportunity for 12 high school students from the Philly community. We need your support to continue offering this program to Philly students of all backgrounds at the affordable cost of $20. The program is designed to give students increased self-confidence, group collaboration skills, and individualized guidance and inspiration to become better musicians. A $50 gift will fund an individual lesson for a DrumPhil student; a $100 gift will fund a collaborative composition session for 3 DrumPhil students; any donation will contribute to the success of the program. For more detailed information on the impact of your gift, click here for detailed financials. Thank you for your support of music education!
"Drum Phil was an amazing experience for my daughter Lucy. She really appreciated the opportunity to meet and play with other drummers. Most of all she loved the small group and individual instruction." -Mo Ganey, DrumPhil '13 Parent
