FIRST FRIDAY! A MUSICAL GARDEN
Western harmonies merge with Middle Eastern melodies in the enchanting music of Al-Bustan Takht Ensemble and youth choir. Meaning “the garden” in Arabic, Al-Bustan sows the seeds of cultural exploration that blur the lines between classical and contemporary. Includes a talk on Cézanne Uncovered: Two Sketches Revealed Through Conservation, led by Barbara Buckley, senior director of conservation and chief conservator of paintings.
