August 12, 2017 10:00AM-5:00PM PhilAesthetic Family Fun Day at AAMP

Join us at the African American Museum in Philadelphia to celebrate our latest exhibition, PhilAesthetic: 40 Years of Collecting African American Art.. This month’s workshops celebrate the Philadelphia-based exhibition with interactive arts workshops. The auditorium comes alive with Karen Smith’s Drumming Workshop and Jasmine Newsome’s Creative Movement Workshop. Gallery 4 lights up with hands-on arts-making workshops led by members of AAMP’s team and a Storytelling Workshop with award-winning TEDx Fellow TAHIRA.
Our PhilAesthetic Fun Workshops for ages 5 and up include:

11 am to 1 pm - Drumming Workshop with Karen Smith (Auditorium)
12 pm to 1:30 pm - Print-Making Workshop with AAMP’s Samantha Eusebio (Gallery 4)
1 pm to 3 pm - Family Creative Movement Workshop with Jasmine Newsome (Auditorium)
1:30 pm to 3 pm - Arts Exploration Workshop with AAMP’s Riley Shea (Gallery 4)
2:30 pm to 3 pm - Storytelling Arts & Crafts Workshop with AAM’P’s Mecca Harris (Gallery 4)
3 pm to 4 pm - Storytelling Workshop with TAHIRA (Gallery 4)
