Join us on Saturday, August 4th for the 14th Annual Afrakan Independence Day Maat Celebration 2018: Afraka Forever!!! presented by the Afrakan Independence Day Organizing Committee & Urban Shaman Productions. Which will take place at Malcolm X Memorial Park located at 52nd & Pine Street from 12pm to 8pm Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Featuring United Front/Afrikan Insurrektion Muzik, The Irritated Genie Of Soufese, Res, The Urban Shamans, The Universal Afrikan Dance & Drum Ensemble, Camara Arts Afrikan Dance & Drum Ensemble, UNIA-ACL, Mama Pam Africa, Monsho & Nawasha Edu of The Akoma House Initative, Professor Carl Tone Jones, Jahzara & The Moonshadow Band and many, many more. As well as the recipient of the 2018 Ahmed Akil Tahir Pearl Of Africa Award. There will also be a Traditional Afrakan Marketplace, Children's Pavilion, Health & Wellness Pavilion and Educational Pavilion and our Annual Afrikan Fashion Show.
